About Me

Welcome to my blog. My name is Sharon, and I started this blog to honor the memory of my cat, Astor.

Astor, my dedicated friend for almost 15 years, came into my life when he was just a little ball of fur. He brought laughter, solace, and unyielding companionship to my life ever since he came into it. In the years we spent together, we shared infinite moments of joy, bequeathing so many happy memories that will forever remain close to my heart.

When it was time for Astor to leave this earthly world, I dealt with difficult emotions as I struggled through pet cremation. I was lost in a whirlwind of questions, doubts, and uncertainties. What should I expect from the cremation process? What will become of his ashes? What would be a dignified way to acknowledge his memory?

In that search for answers, I became fully immersed in research and came across tons of material I felt would be immensely helpful to many others who have gone through the torturous experience of trying to say goodbye to their dear friend. For instance, I learned about pet jewelry, such a beautiful and unique way to keep our beloved pets close to our hearts.

As a licensed psychologist with a background in grief counseling and emotional support, I provide a special flair for the blog. My expertise in pet loss and cremation covers many emotional and psychological aspects. This blog is my heart’s response to the hurdles I faced. It is a way of reaching out to others, those whose own lives are in an almost identical journey of love, loss, and remembrance.

Through this blog, my aim is to provide information, comfort, and support with respect to the process of pet cremation, memorial options, and grieving the loss of a beloved pet. I sincerely hope that the lessons learned and experiences shared here may somewhat assist you in overcoming this dark period.

While, in a sense, with Astor no longer being with us physically, his spirit lives on in love and dedication that fuel this blog. I am grateful to have created this blog in memory of my cat Astor and to have assisted other pet parents in their journeys of love, loss, and remembrance.

Thank you for stopping by. I sincerely look forward to being a comfort and support to you in this very challenging chapter of your life.
